Birds fly; fish swim; humans think and learn. Therefore, we do not need to motivate children into learning by wheedling, bribing, or bullying. Very early in life children begin exploring the world with their bodies, senses, and developing skills. They intuitively know how to take the smallest observation, object, or surprise and turn it into a meaningful experience. Children are naturally curious and have a built-in desire to learn first-hand about the world around them.
Wastefulness is ugly and harmful contempt for bounties. Excess and wastefulness lead to lack of contentment which destroys enthusiasm for work; it causes laziness, opens the door to complaining about life, and it destroys self-respect, and points the way to begging.
An old Chinese proverb says that: “Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach him to fish and you feed him for the rest of his life.” This proverb points out the importance of education. Education is different from teaching, so, people can be teachers, but the number of educators is severely limited. Almost everyone can train their bodies, but few people can educate their minds and feelings. The former training produces strong bodies, while the latter produces people with strong and sound character.
The universe is a vast, constantly
working factory and the globe of

which is continually filled and emptied.
Generally, factories, hostels
and guest-houses which are thus used
become much dirtied with filth, debris and
rubbish. Unless they are kept with care
and cleaned and swept, they cannot be
occupied. The factory of the universe and
guest-house of the earth, however, are
totally pure, clean and spotless, untainted
and fresh (without man made interventions);
there is nothing unnecessary, nothing
without benefit, not a random piece of
dirt to be found. Even if there is apparently,

When the subject is modernism “zest and haste” are the first words that come to mind. While on one side man is imposed that his needs are endless, on the other side he is pressed to compete in consuming the limited sources.
In pursuit of consuming the ”more expensive“, ”more sophisticated“ and “more and more” man has no time to stop and think that if he really needed those things for the sake of which he is wasting all his life. By the way all his endless needs are shaped by the help of media and ads (advertisement) sector.
It is inherent for a human being to be artistic for centuries: a craftsman tries to make a piece which will be used by his children, an artist dreams of painting a picture which will be admired by his descendants. Our civilization is rich in monuments, pictures by means of which we learn our culture. However, the modern life teaches us to appreciate every moment and to find wonderful thing in transient and changeable things.
Jean Thompson stood in front of her fifth-grade class on that first day of school and told the children a lie. Like most teachers, she looked at her pupils, saying she loved each of them the same, that she would treat them all alike. But that was impossible for there in front of her, slumped in his third row seat, was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard.
Now, think about how cold you feel when you go out to play snowballs in the winter wearing a coat, a cap and a pair of gloves. The penguins live in a place where the temperature falls to -40 C. Moreover, the penguins don't have any coats, sweaters or gloves, and they live in a place that is a lot colder than ours. They walk and sleep on ice but they don't even become sick.
Skin tissue, like many other structures, is an organ important enough that its absence puts human life at risk. It is impossible for a living being to survive without skin, even if it has all of its organs. The view we would come across when we look at a centimetre below the skin is a picture formed by these lipids and proteins, with various vessels therein. It is not aesthetic at all, and even terrifying.
There’s No Escape, We Eat Genetically Modified Food
There’s no escape. You are consuming mass quantities of genetically modified food. The milk in your cup this morning came from a genetically modified cow, and the cornflakes for your breakfast are genetically modified. At lunch you’ll enjoy fries from genetically modified potatoes and perhaps a bucket of genetically modified fried chicken. One of the most important issues of today is genetic engineering of our food.
Meltdown Of Family Is As Catastrophic As The Meltdown Of The Ice Caps
"We are experiencing a period of family meltdown, whose effects will be more catastrophic than the meltdown of the ice caps... Human civilization has created not one but multiple threats to its own survival by destruction of family. The family is the first building block composed of individuals.

The truth is, alcoholism is a disease, people get addicted to it and it can be very, very hard to give up drinking. People drink alcohol for a variety of reasons but they are all nonsense, alcohol does not help with anything, in fact, it always causes more problems and is certainly not good for you. Alcohol only brings misery, poverty, broken homes and social degradation to our lives. And it’s often a vicious circle. The drinking contributes to family problems, and the alcoholic often drinks more as a way of coping with those problems. The negative consequences of alcohol consumption are so great that it is impossible to list them.
Alcohol affects every part of the body. It is carried through the bloodstream to the brain, stomach, internal organs, liver, kidneys, muscles – everywhere. We can thank alcohol and for deaths from cirrhosis of the liver, drunk driving, alcohol induced fights and accidents, and cancer just to name a few. But how does the average man look at alcohol? Most people will say that it is a “safe” and “social” activity. Unless you consider 110,000 deaths only in the US only “safe” and unless you consider rape and assault as being “social”.
People drink alcohol for a variety of reasons but they are all nonsense, alcohol does not help with anything and is certainly not good for you. It is after all a substance that causes many health hazards and other many social problems. The truth is, alcoholism is a disease, people get addicted to it and it can be very, very hard for alcoholics to stop drinking. So why do people start drinking? Surely people don’t drink to get themselves into trouble. Here are some excuses why a person might get into the habit of drinking alcohol.
Excuse: “Drinking helps me have a good time and makes me feel good.”
Truth: Drinking can give you a “buzz” when the alcohol first hits your system, but it does not make you high or happy. Alcohol only has this effect for a short while and often leaves people feeling depressed and miserable later. For people who feel like they’re too stressed out, shy, or nervous to have a good time in a social situation, alcohol can seem like the answer. Many people who say they drink to “loosen up” or have a good time end up so drunk that they don’t even remember what they did!
I am a child of the street …
I know that I don’t look like your son or your daughter. I don’t have my home where I could return in the evening. My mother doesn’t wait for me near the window, not taking her eyes off the road along which I return from my school.
Although bad habits are pleasurable in the beginning, their eventual development into emptiness and torment is inevitable as they force us to act in ways contrary to our true nature. Our true nature wants to express love, compassion, kindness, patience, and courage.
We loved the earth so much. Once it was boundless, unattainable and inaccessible for us and waiting to be exploited.
But in the 20th. Century by the help of advancement of communacation and transport means it became a global village. Subsequently it was in our hands with all its untouched beauty and possibilities. And we assailed it with all our madness.
There are examples of a certain careful design in every creature. If one continues further on this quest, one would discover that ourselves are also a part of this certain design. Your hands that hold these pages are functional as no robot hands could ever be. Your eyes that read these lines are making vision possible with such focus that the best camera on earth simply cannot.
We visited so many interesting places and we got acquainted with such wonderful people! The excursions program around the city was very rich and we visited several museums per day. We were fascinated by the East’s mysterious world. I was most astonished by the incredibly fine architecture in Istanbul.
The cooperation of Kiev and Istanbul in the sphere of education, formation and development of the “Shoulder to shoulder in the sphere of education” international project for realization of this goal is shown in this digest.
Helping each other, forgiveness, responsibility, hard-work, empathy, and correct behavior are qualities that parents should demonstrate. Fighting, noise, and angry words will negatively affect the development of the child. Displaying correct behavior is more effective than explaining what correct behavior is.
Human beings spend about one third of their life sleeping. But the place of sleep in the life of human beings is not restricted to this time; the quality of a person’s sleep also affects the waking hours. Moreover, the growth hormone secreted during sleep plays an essential role in the development of children. On the other hand, other functionary hormones are employed in the care, restoration, and refreshment of the body.
sometimes ask myself a question: “What would happen if everybody became blind and deaf at least for a couple of days per year?” Probably, people would appreciate what they have then. I sometimes ask my acquaintances what they can see around. Last time I asked this question to a friend who returned from a walk in the forest. I heard such an answer: “Well, nothing special …”. Can the person, who was walking in the forest for the whole hour, see nothing that could attract his attention?
The honeybee, one of man’s oldest insect friends, gives us honey, beeswax and most important of all, the fertilization of many plants. The honeybee is a social insect living in large colonies of from 20,000 to 80,000 individuals. In a beehive, there is one queen, a few hundred male bees and a workforce of thousands of infertile female bees, the worker bees. The total number of bees in the beehive can reach 80,000. The worker bees perform all the activities inside the hive.
Our bodies need energy. We obtain this energy from the food we eat. But the nutriments required by the body should be simple and in particles small enough to pass through the blood vessels. Otherwise they cannot permeate the cells. However, the foods we consume are in large pieces. Therefore, we need a machine to enable the body to use the food we eat. This grinding machine in your body is called the “digestive system”.
The ancient Greeks called them in honor of Apollo, who turned into a dolphin in order to show the sailors the way to his temple in Delphi. Though it is not directly said about a dolphin in the Koran, it is honored as an animal, which saved Prophet Yunus (biblical Jonah) in the Turkish culture. People created about them more legends than about any other living creatures on Earth.
Once the earth was boundless, unattainable and inaccessible for us and waiting to be exploited. But in the 20th. century by the help of advancement of communacation and transport means it became a global village. Subsequently it was in our hands with all its untouched beauty and possibilities. And we assailed it with all our madness. Our unquenchable greedy of profit and ambition of accumulation of wealth has rapidly consumed all the available resources.
Many parents make the mistake of classifying their child as a problem child; their talents can be hidden if they are having difficulty socializing at school, staying attentive during classes, or are not coping well with daily activities. If your child is exhibiting characteristics and behaviors that seem out of their age group or consistently appearing in their daily lives, here are some key signs that your child may be gifted:
Presence of cruelty elements in children’s feature and cartoon films, books and even in toys have been brought to the forefront lately. The novels and films with cruelty, which are based only on groundless imagination, have become popular. Children started to act “in the name of the dark force” and they keep on repeating over and over again about Pokemon. The children at the age of 3 to 13 years old cram the names of “the Pokemons heroes” instead of learning poems and nice popular expressions by heart.
If you go along the streets of a big city or even not very big town, you will always meet young people. But when enter the yard of any apartment house, you will at once notice that there are more people of declining years here. The women, who are older than 60 years old, as a rule, are called “grandmother”.

You were invited to the prestigious International Economic Forum. What impressions did you get from it?
You know, I believe that the cooperation itself in the similar format will be rather useful both for the district and for the host party. We had an opportunity to communicate with the representatives of the Confederation of the Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey, with the representatives of the local self-administration, with the head of one of the districts of the city of Istanbul.
We live in a chemical world. They are in use all around us - from pesticides to cosmetics and baby bottles to computers. Some chemicals are known to be toxic and we know very little about many others. Toxins can come from food or water, from chemicals used to grow or prepare food, and even from the air that we breathe.
If that damned old woman had lighted the fire a couple of years later, we would not celebrate the jubilee of the city of Leo now.
In the autumn the capital of Galicia celebrated its 750th anniversary. It is impossible to determine the exact date when Danilo Galitskiy, the only Ukrainian prince, who was crowned by the Pope, established the city in honor of his son Leo.
It is one thing to take care of your body and another to obsess about looks. Recognize that true beauty is inward, not a manufactured facade. Determine to be healthy. Focus on good eating habits and nutrition.
PRACTICE DOES NOT ALWAYS MAKE PERFECT
(New Scientist staff and AFP)
Endless hours spent perfecting your golf swing or basketball shot could be a waste of time, according to a new study which shows that practice does not always make perfect.
“The nervous system was not designed to do the same thing over and over again,” says Churchland, whose team investigated the way the brain plans and calculates motion. Contrary to conventional wisdom that movement variability is caused by muscle activity, the Churchland’s team found that neural activity accounts for about half the variations. In other words, training muscles to perform a certain way through practice, such as countless hours teeing off or shooting a basketball, will not produce the same shot every time.
