Modern Lifestyle Hits Man At The Heart

When the subject is modernism “zest and haste” are the first words that come to mind. While on one side man is imposed that his needs are endless, on the other side he is pressed to compete in consuming the limited sources.

In pursuit of consuming the ”more expensive“, ”more sophisticated“ and “more and more” man has no time to stop and think that if he really needed those things for the sake of which he is wasting all his life. By the way all his endless needs are shaped by the help of media and ads (advertisement) sector.

It is obvious that zest oriented rat race( marathon) has already exhausted the modern man at a very early stage of his life and brought him to the edge of the cliff.

The advancement of technology has played a significant role in speeding up our lives. It’s now only in history that our mothers had a washing days. We don’t walk anymore but only drive everywhere. We take the lift up and down, we don’t even climb down the stairs.

With the help of household devices housework human effort is replaced by automation in doing the housework. We work long hours in our armchairs at work without moving a finger or without standing up. Leading an inactive life and spending hours motionless are weakening our muscles. Under these conditions it’s impossible to keep fit.
As a result man and women rush to the fitness centers or convinced to buy and built one at home. There are many contradictions one in another and in vicious circle in our lives. In the hustle and bustle of our life we consume more fast food and as a result obesity is prevailing everywhere and threatening the young generations.

You get surprised by the number of fast food restaurants and a corresponding nearby chemist’s where you can see posters everywhere how to lose weight faster. More processed food, more frozen food, food with additives and coloring agent, sweetener are replacing organic food in our diet.

So, What is the outcome? Languish young generations combating with heart diseases, and high mortality rates at very young ages. Once heart attacks used to came up with age, but today we hear more news of hearth failures of a primary school kid running in the school yard, or a young falling dead while playing football. It’s a fact that obesity is a growing global fear of all the developed countries. World wide annual number of heart failures has already reaches 7.2 million.

Modern life has another aspect weakening and sickening the hearts and which has even worse results. Feeling lonely in crowds, being idle in rushing, exhaustion by constant speed, growing level of stress by bills and credit cards needed to be paid and the fear of future, are just some of the reasons rising our tensions.
Lack of love becomes the main heart diseases. Man is making a mistake by assuming that money can buy everything. Time has shown that material stuff that fill our lives and shopping bags will never be able to fill the emptiness in our hearts.
